Senior Engagement and Communications Officer (Permanent – Full-time)

The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission is a statutory body with a wide range of functions relating to the promotion and protection of human rights.

Applications are invited for the following permanent, full-time post:

Senior Engagement and Communications Officer (Permanent – Full-time)

Salary: £38,017-£41,799 per year.

The post holder will act as a senior member of a team charged with promoting understanding and awareness of human rights in Northern Ireland through engagement, communications, information services and educational activities.

The role will support the Director of Engagement to manage the Commission’s relationships with the Westminster Parliament, Northern Ireland Executive and Northern Ireland Assembly, and other political institutions ensuring the Commission is informed of political developments affecting human rights in Northern Ireland.

The post holder will also support the Director of Engagement in other areas including delivering, building and maintaining stakeholder relations to include engagement regionally and internationally with, non-governmental, governmental bodies and the education sector. The post holder will also support the Director in ensuring effective media management across all available Commission channels and platforms.
