Publications - Annual statements

The Commission conducts an annual review of human rights in the jurisdiction. This is published on the international human rights day (10th December) and launched at a public event held in the Northern Ireland Assembly building and hosted by the Speaker. The document addresses major civil, political, economic social and cultural issues and is designed to correlate with the Universal Period Review. The statement uses a traffic light system to classify the actions taken by or required from the United Kingdom Government, Northern Ireland Executive or relevant public authorities in response to the issues identified.
