Finance Officer (Staff Officer)

The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission is a statutory body with a wide range of functions relating to the promotion and protection of human rights.

Applications are invited for the following permanent, full-time post:

Finance Officer (Staff Officer)

The grade of the post is currently equivalent to Northern Ireland Civil Service Staff Officer Grade, with a current pay band of £37,694-£38,990 per year.

The post-holder will cover a broad range of finance activities including the delivery of efficient and effective financial services (accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control and financial reports) as well as providing input into the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts.

This role will also support the Senior Finance, Personnel and Corporate Affairs Officer with the Commission’s financial accounting and ensuring that all relevant statutory and regulatory responsibilities are met and applied in accordance with guidance, regulations and accounting standards.

The post-holder will also support the Director (Finance, Personnel and Corporate Affairs) in other areas of the Commission’s work, as the need arises.

The post-holder will also support the Senior Policy and Research Officer and Director in other areas, including delivering human rights training and conducting statutory investigations.
