Commission attends annual four jurisdiction meeting
Four jurisdictions meeting of UK & Ireland NHRIs and equality bodies
The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission (NIHRC) attended the annual four jurisdiction meeting of the National Human Rights Institutions and equality bodies of the UK and Ireland.
Senior representatives from the NIHRC, Equality Commission for Northern Ireland, Equality and Human Rights Commission, Irish Human Rights and Equality Commission, and the Scottish Human Rights Commission, met in Edinburgh to discuss ongoing work and areas of cooperation.
Alyson Kilpatrick, Chief Commissioner, NIHRC, said:
“We were delighted to join our colleagues at this annual meeting of the National Human Rights Institutions and equality bodies of the UK and Ireland. It provides an important space to examine how we can build on our common work and identify areas we can work collaboratively to address human rights and equality issues across these islands.”
