Coroner rules that Human Rights Act applies to Army base

The Coroner in the inquest into the deaths of Lieutenant Neal Turkington’ Major James Joshua Bowman and Corporal Arjun Purja Pun has today ruled that the army base where the three soldiers were killed in Afghanistan is part of the UK and is therefore covered by the protections of the Human Rights Act.
