Human Rights and Equality training
The North West Community Network (NWCN) is pleased to be working again with the Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission (NIHRC) to deliver a training session in the north west. This year the Commissioner for Children and Young People (NICCY) and the Equality Commission for Northern Ireland (ECNI), will join the NIHRC in delivering the session. This is a great opportunity for community groups to engage directly with all of these human rights and equality bodies.
The training has been planned in partnership with the NWCN, is free, and is open to all members. It will take place at the NWCN offices, 8-14 Bishop Street, Derry~Londonderry on Thursday 26th June. The session will start at 10am and end at 12:30pm. This is an interesting introduction to human rights and equality. You will gain an insight into what your rights are and what equality and discrimination protections exist in Northern Ireland. Using real life scenarios you will practice the skills required to identify rights and apply the law to help resolve cases.
To book your place on this training programme please contact the NIHRC by telephone on 90 243987 (press 5 for reception) or email info@nihrc.org
