Human rights must be central to the Programme for Government

The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission has commented on the Draft Programme for Government in the context of International Human Rights Week. As Ministers face cutting public expenditure and household incomes continue to decrease’ the Commission has said that more needs to be done to place human rights at the centre of the decision making process.
