Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission welcomes abortion judgment

The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission welcomes today’s judgment. We continue to urge the Department of Health to ensure that abortion services are available to women and girls by 30 March 2022. Alyson Kilpatrick, Chief Commissioner, said "The court has reiterated its expectation that the Department will respect the rule of law and implement its legal obligations."
