Publications - Research and investigations

The Commission conducts research and such investigations as it considers necessary or expedient for the purpose of keeping under review the adequacy and effectiveness in Northern Ireland of law and practice relating to the protection of human rights. It has power to require the provision of information, the production of documents or the giving of oral evidence and to enter any place of detention.
