Call for Expression of Interest on the interaction between the UN Convention on the Rights of the Persons with Disabilities and Article 2 of the Windsor Framework

Last Updated: Thursday, 29 August 2024

The Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission and Equality Commission for Northern Ireland are seeking to contract research on the interaction between the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, EU law and Article 2 of the Windsor Framework.

The Commissions are interested in exploring the degree to which the EU’s accession to the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UN CRPD) contributes to the continued protection of equality and human rights in Northern Ireland and how those rights are enforced as a result of the Withdrawal Agreement. The purpose of this research is to inform policy-makers of the need to consider Windsor Framework Article 2 and its interaction with the UNCRPD.

Applications should be submitted to Accounts@nihrc.org by 12 noon on 28 October 2024.
