Read the joint Northern Ireland Human Rights Commission & Equality Commission for Northern Ireland briefing paper on the EU Pay Transparency Directive.

The paper sets out the two Commissions’ analysis that the new EU Pay Transparency Directive amends Directive 2006/54/EC, on the Equal Treatment of Women and Men in employment and occupation, which is included in Annex 1 of the Windsor Framework. Amendment or replacement of the Annex 1 Directives triggers the dynamic alignment obligation under Article 13(3) of the Windsor Framework, requiring the law in NI to keep pace.
